About Me

Nature

I’ve always had an inquisitive mind. What was first characterized by persistent interrogation of my parents about the workings of the world (to the point of annoyance), has grown into a deep-rooted drive for learning about all things puzzling.

Of course, life can be overwhelming and so I’ve come to know moments of stagnation. But the only way I can truly be satisfied is when I prove beyond reasonable doubt that I am growing.

Hence, for my sanity alone — though sometimes definitely against — I try to keep active past the confines of daily rut. Read a book. Go for a run. Learn a skill. Whatever seems wise or interesting.

Interests

I’d like to believe my interests are very much eclectic. Though, in reality, I too am guilty of a stereotype. Because for some reason, it seems back-enders are disproportionally into hiking.

Besides long walks in nature, I enjoy reading, puzzles (particularly nonograms), running and boxing, rock and electronic music, and of course, a beer (or two) with friends.

Thematically, I am most moved by humanities. Particularly if philosophical or metaphysical. I love pondering on the fundamentals.

Nurture

While the previous section(s) might give the impression that I am highly idealistic — which, don’t get me wrong, I definitely am — life also happened, which made me increasingly goal-oriented.

After many hardships, bad influences, and lack of guidance, I developed a certain strength of will, for better or worse. Let’s just say that not everyone will be stubborn “strong willed” enough to drop out and pursue a career on their own.

Luckily, I appear to have made a succession of good decisions and have landed on my feet. This inner peace has given me a newfound love for those around me.

And almost as importantly, it built character. It gave me endurance during hardship and  even though it took some time to learn to wield it  allows me to speak up for what I truly believe to be important.
